Due Process Training for Parents is an invaluable resource for parents who are considering self-representation in special education matters or wish to better understand the process when working with their attorney. This course is designed to provide parents with the tools and knowledge they need to navigate the due process system effectively. It includes both a self-paced course with materials provided through Teachable and access to live classes on multiple special education topics. The course will help parents understand the identification of legal issues, necessary filings, negotiation, settlement agreements, and an in-depth overview of the due process hearing. Additionally, we will provide discussion of discovery, opening and closing arguments, objections, and how to navigate a hearing on your own. With this training, parents can have the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions and represent themselves in due process proceedings.
